Terms of Service
Last updated: October 15, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to DataSets.be ("DataSets," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DataSets platform, website, and services.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use our services.
2. Eligibility and Account Creation
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our services. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.
3. Services and Pricing
DataSets provides a marketplace for discovering, filtering, and purchasing human-curated datasets. Our pricing structure is based on a per-record model, where you pay only for the specific records you need.
Prices for datasets are displayed on the respective dataset detail pages and may vary based on the dataset quality, complexity, and market value. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, though changes will not affect existing purchases.
4. Dataset Usage and Licensing
When you purchase a dataset from DataSets, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the data for your internal business or research purposes. You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the datasets or their contents
- Use the data for unlawful purposes
- Extract, scrape, or download the data through automated means
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
The scope of your license depends on the specific dataset and purchase option you select.
5. Payment Terms
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the full amount of your purchase.
For subscription-based data refreshes, you authorize recurring payments at the specified intervals until you cancel. Subscription cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
6. Privacy and Data Security
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
For more information, please view our Privacy Policy.
7. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease, but previously purchased datasets will remain accessible according to the terms of your purchase.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataSets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, our services or any content provided by or through our services.
Our total liability for any claims related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific dataset that is the subject of the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, in some cases, by sending an email notification.
Your continued use of our services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
